Data Limitations

PolyDashboard depends on public market data, BTC reference values, browser state, and internal calculations. Each part can fail or become stale. This page lists the main limits so visitors understand what the dashboard can show and what it cannot prove.

Market prices can lag

Public market prices may be delayed, unavailable, or temporarily inconsistent. A short BTC Up/Down round can change faster than a page refresh or API response. If a price looks frozen, mismatched, or too clean, treat the round as incomplete data.

Reference feeds are context, not settlement

BTC reference movement helps explain market behavior, but it may not match the exact source used by a third-party market. A reference feed can also experience latency or outages. Use it for context, then verify important details with the original source.

Paper trading skips real execution problems

The paper trading simulator does not model all real-world conditions. Real trading can include spread, partial fills, fees, slippage, liquidity gaps, platform limits, and user mistakes. Virtual balance is useful for review, but it is not evidence of live performance.
